Arsenal 1-5 Bayern Munich: Alexis Sanchez laughing on the bench

Arsenal smashed by Bayern

Arsenal crashed out of the Champions League tonight in spectacular fashion, losing 10-2 on aggregate.
The Gunners were emphatically smashed by Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 a couple of weeks ago, on a night that was as depressing as it was predictable for Arsenal fans.
And it must have felt like deja vu for the long-suffering Gooners tonight.
They did get some faint hope from Walcott’s early goal, but they never managed to capitalize on that, and once Koscielny was sent off in the second half, it was all over bar the laughing.

Sanchez finds it funny

There’s been a lot of noise around Alexis Sanchez of late, and he’ll have a new controversy to answer to tomorrow.
The Chilean has been Arsenal’s best player this season, and their top 4 hopes rest largely on his shoulders.
But his contract situation is becoming a big distraction, and Gooners are starting to fret that they could lose their best player unless the club’s hierarchy meets his wage demands.
Until recently, Sanchez was looking happy as Larry, but he’s cutting an increasingly frustrated figure, and Saturday felt like a tipping point, when Wenger took the drastic decision to bench him.

He was restored to the team tonight, but we caught another glimpse of his selfish attitude once he was taken off, when he was spotted giggling at his team’s expense with Petr Cech.
